THE PIONEER YEARS

Our history begins in 1921, with the establishment of our company Brückner & Dietze in Coburg Germany by Bruno Dietze and his partner Gustav Brückner. They developed and built production equipment for the lighting industry from filament winding machines to complete lamp assembly lines.

PIVOT TO LEAD WIRES

Bruno Dietze separated from his partner and concentrated on the lead wire business. Operations included factories in Vienna, Paris, Turin and London.

FOUNDATION OF ELDUR AG

Eldur AG in Maienfeld/Switzerland was started by Dr. Wolfgang Dietze, leading the firm in the second generation. The Swiss company initially focused on silicon-glass diode lead wires and lighting products. Nowadays the location also serves as the Headquarter of the Dietze Group.

ENTERING THE CONNECTOR INDUSTRY

Werner Dietze, managing the company in the third generation identifies the rising demand for connectors and acquires Elbik GmbH. Connector products are nowadays a core pillar of the Dietze group and widely used in the automotive industry.

EXPANSION INTO THE US

To better serve the growing American lighting markets, Eldur Corporation was incroporated in Bangor, Maine.

A FAMILY BUSINESS UNDER CHANGE

Fierce competition develops in the semiconductor industry. Big corporations shift their production to Asia. In order to meet their demands Shanghai Eldur Electronic Components Co starts up high volume operation for welded diodes leads and stamped SMD terminals. Shortly afterward, Eldur Slovakia k.s. is established in Nesvady to support the Dietze Group initially for the lighting market.

CREATING SHARED VALUE

As traditional lightning business is undergoing change and replacing technologies are emerging, the company is looking for new opportunities. The firm acquires GMV Glass to Metal Seals Company and starts to invests into the glass-to-metal industry. Producing high precision hermetic sealing solutions is developing into the third main pillar of the family business.

EXPANDING OUR CONNECTOR COMMITMENT

Kasperzik Werkzeugbau, which has specialized in component manufacturing for stamping tools, is acquired by the Dietze Group to help enhance our know-how and capabilities in the stamping area.
